Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Natural Postpartum Guide?
The Natural Postpartum Guide is a practical, mother-to-mother digital guide for the first three weeks with your newborn. It covers newborn care basics, postpartum recovery tips, a real essentials shopping list and a Dad's Zone. It's designed for mums who want a natural, physiologically-supportive approach - not rigid schedules. It is not medical advice. Get the Natural Postpartum Guide.
How do digital downloads work?
After you buy a digital product, you'll get an order confirmation and a separate email with access to download your files. There's no shipping and no waiting for a parcel - you can download straight away once the email arrives. Digital products in our shop include the Natural Postpartum Guide and Birth Affirmation Screen Savers. Browse more in Birth & Baby Support.
How does shipping work for physical products?
Physical items (such as labour and birth essentials) are shipped according to our shipping policy. Delivery times and costs depend on your location and the products in your basket. Check the shipping details at checkout, or see our shipping policy linked in the footer. For labour bag favourites, start with Labour & Birth Essentials.
Do you give medical advice?
No. Everything we share - including product copy, guides and blog posts - is practical, mother-to-mother information, not medical advice. Always speak to your midwife, GP or other qualified healthcare professional about your own care and your baby's care.
What are Birth Affirmation Screen Savers?
They're a digital pack of practical, logical birth affirmations you can set as phone backgrounds and screen savers. They're designed as daily reminders of your body's ability to give birth - hypnobirthing-friendly without the woo-woo. Instant download after purchase. See Birth Affirmation Screen Savers.
Are you a UK brand?
Yes. The Practical Birth & Baby Co. is the trading name of Attenger Ltd, a UK company. We're a mother-to-mother brand focused on practical birth prep, postpartum recovery and newborn care. More on our story on the About us page.
How do gift cards work?
Gift cards let someone choose their own support from the shop - digital downloads or physical essentials, depending on the card. We offer a Digital Baby Shower Gift Card and a Birth & Baby Support Gift Card. After purchase, the recipient can redeem the balance on eligible products in our store.
